Bullseye! How much do you know about the Vacationland area?

Hart Advertising, Inc. began in 1943 with William T. Hart. He started with only 100 signs. Over the next 30 years, Mr. Hart bought over 10 companies, including the Advertiser and Carter Christy, to expand into what is now the core of the business which includes over a thousand signs. In the early 1980's, expansion by acquisition was augmented by the gradual conversion of old wooden frame structures into modern single pole steel structures with lighting.

Hart still holds some of the original artwork created for its first customers. Tools and lettering for creating billboards are still located in our production facilities. These are some examples of early artwork dating from the 1940's to the present. These pictures will change monthly, so be sure to stop back as we take you through our advertising history. We are proud of our history and hope you enjoy learning about it as much as we enjoy "advertising" it!

Notice the detailed wood treatment signs were given in the 1930's.
